For my first post I have chosen to write about the Mc Donald’s Monopoly website.
As for those of you who aren’t familiar with Mc Donald’s Monopoly campaign, it is a sweepstakes advertising promotion done by Mc Donalds to give away prizes. This has been going back since 1987 when you would collect each physical piece and over the last few years it has now been completely restructured into an interactive concept.
Their website is very user-friendly and easy to navigate. On the homepage they have a very visible spot for the visitor to put code and find out if they won anything. They showcase all of there prizes and their sponsors.
The button bars are Enter Code( their homepage), Online Prizes, In-store Prizes, and How To Play. This is on the Canadian site which is Enter Code, Online Prizes, In-store Prizes and Play In-store. Play In-Store could simply be placed with In-shore Prizes, like it is on the Canadian page. This may be harder for internet illiterate users to figure out How To Play.
Overall the McDonalds Monopoly site is very good but the Canadian one was planned out better.

Oh how things evolve. Its amazing how over time something that was so "labour intensive" can be easily simplified thanks to interactive magic. Probably save McDonalds a ton of cash as well. ;)
